why do almost all girls think that they are beautiful??
i can give you an example, we were a group of friends searching through a matrimony site for one of my friends, and one ad caught our attention, where the girl has written abt her, there was one girl with us, who said that we shud select this one, as this profile tells that she looks beaufiful, almost every one burst into laughter immediately, and every one had the same thought, that atleast 99 percent of the girls think like that. :)
so whats the reason for that.

You are so far off base on this one. Why are you asking guys anyway? If you want to know something about a woman, ask a woman. Most girls/women I know do not think that they are beautiful. I even know one that acts Like she is the best looking thing since cherry pie , in public. Really, though she hates a lot of things about herself. But if she were to walk around in public acting that way, no one would want to meet her, much less get to know her, so she puts her best face forward and goes out. By the way, she is pretty. Men stare at her everywhere we go but she wears a lot of make up because she hates her natural lines. Women also do this because we need that wall to face men like you. Men who while they probably think they are somthin to write home about , when they are not, will criticize every girl that walks by if she is not a 10. Grow up and look in the mirror. Even if you are good looking, you have a sh*tty personality, no one will want to take you home to meet her family and if by some chance you do get that offer, if you don't change your attitude, it will probably not work out in the long term.

Well honey, it's because almost all of us are pretty. Wouldn't you rather have that than someone who looks like and acts like the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz? :)
Think about it, it's better for a woman to feel confident about herself and feel good about herself and think that she's attractive; rather than feel she's ugly. What good would feeling ugly do for one's self image. That would be very sad and no good would come out of that type of negative attitude.
If that doesn't do it for you then try this: Do a web search for the Wizard of Oz witch and look at her face for about an hour. Now go out on the street and every woman you see "will look pretty" after looking at that witch! Now see, we are!!!!

I always thought that even very very beautiful girls thought that they were some how imperfect.
Read a book called "Surely you must be joking Mr.Feynmann?"
It is written by a Nobel Prize winner,who in his personal experience finds that even very beautiful women-in one case a Miss America-finds herself flawed...I personally dont know for sure though I tend to agree with the view that women are NEVER satisfied with their looks...

I'm a woman, not a girl, so I'll tell you the reason. We have children. Some are girls. Even if they are as ugly as dirt, we love them and tell them how beautiful they are. Thing is, we teach them to be beautiful on the inside where it really matters.

They feel that looks are the most important thing for us (I just masturbated to Jessica Alba's personality) and if they lose self confidence in that, they will never get a man. That's why you have fat chicks wearing skin tight clothing. I know I'm a pretty average looking guy.

There are some pretty homely men in this world, yet I cannot understand why really gorgeous women find anything attractive about them.
There must be SOMETHING about them. I guess this holds true for women, too. There must be SOMETHING about them.

That's kind of funny you say that. Many girls I know are very self concious about their appearance and are always wanting to change something. If anything, I think many of them don't think they are good enough at times.

women get hit on every waking minute of the day. even the ugly of the ugly get hit on by somebody.
if you were hit on non stop you'd think you were beautiful too.
cause men are dogs is why the ugly ones come out of the caves.

Uh...most women I know don't think they are pretty. Most I know are pretty self conscious.
Being a woman myself, I would know.
Don't know why you are asking MEN (WHO ARENT WOMEN BY THE WAY).
I would say very few women are completely confident in their looks. Ask any woman what she thinks her physical flaws are, I bet she'd give you a list.
