I am not an expert on inner peace. I don't know if there is one state of mind called "inner peace". I think that meditation, relaxation, prayer, and other practices can all be employed to quiet the mind and bring one to a relaxed state. The problem for most people is that it is very difficult to maintain this state of relaxation. As soon as one closes one's eyes, one's thoughts drift towards worry, tomorrow's appointments, basketball scores, and memories of last weeks BBQ. The key to meditation is to remember that the mind wanders and when you catch the mind wandering, to gently refocus the mind again.....and again...and again.....without judgement or self-criticism. Be gentle with your thoughts.....and you will be gentle with yourself.....your uncertainty will never go away....but it will not bother you as much!

Sit quietly, especially at sunrise and sunset. Drop thinking -- or rationalizing. Be present with nature. "Let it be." Be present and let the peace in. Accept it with gratitude. Simply be with it. No need to question it; it will be with you and you can let it envelope you. Yes you can. What good fortune.

Get some quiet time to yourself to think - reflect - pray on what is going on around you - what you are feeling and asking for strength, guidance and peace to face whatever is disturbing your heart/soul/and/or spirit.

I reflect on my life events as well as what has happened to me recnemtly. I present myself to God and ask Him if I have done something wrong. and He smiles and wispers to me "I will take care of you. You are mine ad I love you"
for the best peace you can have in your life, embrace the God that yearns to be inside you.

Find it for yourself. Get away from your everyday distractions. Find a quiet place to sit, close your eyes, and breath.
In other words, meditate.
It's easier said that done, though - believe me.
