Working this summer I plan on making 5 k and I really need a car. See myuy brother's car is not very friendly. First, its a 92 honda accord, 5 speed, that is about 3 different colors. And the speedometer works every once in a while. Should I inherit my brother's car and tune it up, or use my 5k and buy me a used car that I can find?

It's really up to you - do you enjoy working on cars? If so, keep the Accord and fix it up. If not, use your money to get a nicer used car - you might be surprised by what you find. If you don't spend the money on another car, do you already have plans for it? That will also influence your decision.
Good for you for not wanting to use the money as a down payment on a NEW car. They depreciate very quickly.

You can find a good used car for that price! try to get a honda certified used car or something like that because it will have a warranty!

Spend the 5K and find a Japanese import with the lowest mileage.
