Trying to figure out what movie this is... b&w from the fifties... does anyone recognize this opening scene?

I remember seeing this on TV as a child in Queens, NY in the late 50's or early 60's. A room; a woman, chained or strapped to the wall. She's facing the wall. A man is operating some controls; he turns something on, maybe pulls a lever - and the wall, along with the woman, is lowered into some unknown room (dungeon?) below. She's screaming and digging her nails into the wall as she's being lowered. I never saw any more as it always came on just around dinnertime! I know it was on more than once, and I suspect it was Million Dollar Movie or something similar that aired the same movie for a week at the same time every day. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
