I sit here every night for about an hour, just asking and answering away... I actually think its pretty addicting! I mean, I cant be the only one who is like, checking to see if anyone answered my question every 2 minutes! Its also fun! I like getting my opinion out there, i guess. =]

I would say for many reasons.
One, because it is interesting to answer them, ask them and read what others write. I have laughed, moaned and sometimes even ranted at the answers.
Second, it could be fulfilling in us something that we all have to one degree or another, and that is to be useful, to help, to show the way to another.
Third, some of us just like to act stupid and this is a good venue for that too.
Fourth, the competitive side for a lot of us ( IOW........get picked with the best answer )

Self aggrandisement, of course. It is a common behavior among humans who may feel they are inferior to others! It fosters self-importance, which we all know is essential to the emotional well-being of individuals of our species! :-)

I'm passing my time here and I really enjoy it . I don't know about other people why they r here . But I guess it would be the same reason.
