The last official census was 78 million. I rather doubt that number. due to the way people live in the Philippines, in miles and miles of shacks and under tin and under cardboard, and in the mountains. I do not think anyone knows. I would guess it is 100 million or maybe more.
The population is out of control and it will double in 7 years. Everywhere you look there are babies and small children. The Catholics say they are " Gifts from God " and do not worry that they can not feed them .
The Philippines has the fastest growing population in Asia and is the only country in Asia with a declining economy. Hard truths.

Just search on it. I know Philippine have the higher Pop. rate than other Asian countries.
