The critics have panned this movie, Rotten Tomatos reviews have been worse ], me though, I enjoyed this. Without going so far as to say that it was poignant, I would say that it has a very strong emotional hook with an excellent message about the things we desire in this life and the things we do to attain them.
The jokes are true Sandler - the violence and vulgarity take the serious edge off of the message , a nice touch and prerequisite for a Sandler flick. Then there is Christopher Walken, silently reprising an earlier role (think the Prophecy series), he almost underplays this one - but is still brilliant. Anything he touches must be gold and his performance is.
Henry Winkler shines, and proves that, while sadder, he can still pull off a non-Fonzy role.

i looved it. adam sandler was really funny in, but in the end it is kind of sad, my friend even started crying. if you like comedy type movies than you should go see it. otherwise just rent it and see pirates of the carribean in theaters instead where the huge screen really improves the movie.

I thought it was great. I went on "date night" w/ my husband and we both really enjoyed it. I laughed - I cried - then I laughed some more!!! There were a bunch of kids behind me that didn't get any of the jokes. though. and they kept making fun of me for laughing and crying. I would see it again, though. I love ANY Happy Madison Production.

I really enjoyed it. I love any movie with Adam Sandler. It was kind of sad though when his father died :(

ugh, i dont know how anyone could have liked that movie... it was HORRIBLE. it leaves you wondering how on earth did this comedy become so serious all of the sudden? and why isnt adam sandler funny anymore? DONT waste your time and money....

It was good. I watched it and I laughed all their it. They were only one part of the movie made me cry. But overall it was sooo good!

it was sooo sad! i cried, but i loved the movie! it really made me realize that time goes by fast, so live life to the fullest :)

It was SO funny, my friends and i went and were laughing for alot of it. But we were also crying, it was a good mix of drama and comedy.

I havent seen it but ive seen previews and i know people that have seen it and they say it is hilarious!!!! They also say its a little perverted though but not that much.
