Do You Think Mariah Carey Is Vain?

I think so. I think she is so overrated physically. She does have a beautiful voice but her body is not all that. If she wasn't vain why does she only wear skimpy clothing all the time?

Not even having looked at the other answers, I flatly say "NO"! Are you aware of her back round? Are you aware of her philanthropic ways? Have you seen her relate to young women of colour who are in the quandary of being half Caucasian an half Afro American?
This woman is a gift to the world. That voice, her incredible experiences as a child.....it is absolutely heart wrenching.. Yes, Mariah IS a Diva....however that does not make her vain. her voice can bring one to their knees.
I am old enough to to remember her receive her first Grammy, she was I believe twenty...and her parting words upon receiving it were so quick, non rehearsed...and she said thank you. I thought her vacuous...oh how wrong I was. Ms carey is a muti faceted artist with unparalled talents. She is VERY real.....
I know that she is beautiful. I feel that she is aware that she has recognized the 'power' she has as a performer....she doesnt flaunt it....not one bit...In conclusion...there are millions of hr listeners whose lives are often canged irreviicably.
Do NOY falult those seemingly omnipotent extraoridinarily gifted peole on accont of a gift they have. This young woman is inspiring thousands of younger and older i might as=dd daily just by being herself.
No....I do NOT think that the money has gone to her head. She is now a confident radiant beauty who has the world in her palm.....this I WILL say...she would want this for everyone..for the pain she has known..the prejudice and taunting she endured as a child was soken openly on Oprah. Look...I am 52 yeqars old, the world has cghanged, music is evdr changing...Mariah carey is a masterpiece of a woman.....and seems to me a nurting soul who DOES care.
The inherent covetous nature of those who have never lived this lifestyle may never understand....perhaps in time they will. It is so important to NOT build up luminaries to the point that you think that you are a part of THEIR lives, Leave them be and accept or not, as you so choose, to be an appreciator or to slander because yu havent't got the same karma, talent, or whatever you would call it. This woman has incredible gratitude for her life, a fbulous sense of humour....and has to be "ON" as she is rarely alone. I am duly impressed, though I do not listen to her music, when I catch her on television or a video...yes I watch..and "NO...she is not vain in the sense of excluding the world....she as a child had to accept taunting...and the swan emerged in her......how does one fault beauty....and kindness?
It only comes back on you. As yu will never know me..... I am a face I the crowd, should I be faulted for being who I am? Yes thisis rhetorical....thogh here, finally I believe I have driven home the point.
Mariah Carey is one genuinely enigma.....whose voice can bring you to your knees....make y weep and never forget the event. I rest my case.....yes me....a face in the crowd....a daughter a sister a friend a confidante.

No. I actually feel she is very sensitive and tries to hide that behind the diva beauty she is. Why do I feel this? She really tried to hold it together when she was working 20 hours a day. Yes 20 hours...She would write, sing, record, promote and sleep ( maybe 3 hours)
SO do I think her vainity is real NO...Its just what she protrays to stay strong because she works so dam hard....

have u heard? She has her legs insured for a billion dollars just cause she doesnt want her legs to get injured on a tour she is about to start. Also she needs longer dresses =) but i love her songs

Well if you've seen mtv cribs you cn see that she has a ****load of clothes and shoes.

But she doesn't come off as self absorbed or anything so she's pretty cool.
