How ticked off am I? INCREDIBLY! Firefly was the best sci-fi show to come along in a very long time. It had a unique and intriguing premise, great characters, wonderful actors and thoroughly enjoyable storylines.
The morons who made the decision to cancel the show after so few episodes (and as brilliant as those episodes were), should seriously rethink their choice of career. This show had the potential to be a HUGE hit, if only they'd given it a decent chance! And yet utter crap (can you say "reality TV"?) gets renewed year after year... It doesn't bode well for the future of sci-fi on TV, IMO.
I only hope Joss won't be put off by this and will come up with another great sci-fi show that surpasses even Firefly! And please Joss, make another Firefly movie - pretty, pretty, please? :)

The guy who posted first obviously never watched it, as it was canceled a couple of years ago.
Personally, I didn't like it as much as Joss Whedon's other work in Buffy and Angel. I thought the acting was a bit ham-handed and the concept could have been done better. That being said, I heard the movie "Serenity" fixed some of the problems that the series had, and I plan to pick up the DVD to watch at some point.

My husband and I are *still* mad about it. They never gave the show a chance and were already moving the days and times it showed after the second episode. It had excellent actors, a super story line and huge potential overall. We bought the series and movie on DVD; hopefully Joss Whedon will keep with the story in some medium.

I really liked that show, including Serenity. I hope you saw that. I guess there is not enough of us who have the same hopes that Firefly seemed to represent to me! Good Question!

i was pretty ticked, but i got over it. it was a little cheesy, but all of his stuff has some cheese to it.
