I downloaded the song of the internet by the name of "Scott Joplin - Kings of Ragtime- St. Louis Blues" .This song is an all piano song and it sounds difficult.it is actually from W.C Handy. But when i searched St Louis Blues by W.C Handy, on the internet, i heard a different song. Instead of piano it was a trumpet and a whole orchestra. I want to know if that is indeed the actual name of the song (Scott Joplin - Kings of Ragtime- St. Louis Blues) or if it was named incorrectly. I also want to know where i can get the sheet music for this song. If you wish to hear the song, you are welcome to email me at "eagles09@scbglobal.net" to hear the song

The only St. Louis Blues I've heard is the original big band version. If the Scott Joplin version has a similar or identical melody, chances are it's just a piano arrangement of the song. Otherwise, I suppose it could be two different songs, but since St. Louis Blues (the big band version) is a fairly famous song, I doubt that it's a completely different song that happens to have the same name. For sheet music, I suggest www.hickeys.com. I've gotten sheet music there in the past and they have a pretty extensive selection.

I did a musical in 8th grade w/ that song in it and WC Handy played the trumpet.. so the real "St. Louis Blues" song is the one where he is playing.
