If I became the ruler of this planet?
I would try to make the world a better place. I also wouldn't try to force anyone to change any of their religions and beliefs. I would give everyone a chance to be who they want to be. There would be no more poverty and only necessary laws. Criminals would be dealt with appropriately, and I would make sure that the world is made a safer, cleaner place.
Does it sound good to you?

I don't know how I'll do it yet, but I will. THERE MUST BE A WAY! Also, I'm much smarter than the rest of the world anyways (not intellectually- I'm about average- more like creatively and spirituallly) Power to me!

Also: my government will have nothing to do with any religion. The people will have to deal with that themselves.

Many go into Office wanting/hoping to accomplish those very ideas, and then the reality of its difficulty seeps in.
