What's with all the screaming and yelling we've been doing? I'm tired of instuling people and being insulted. Can't we all just get along?

Nope. Ever since the beginning of this nation's founding, there have been disagreements which ultimately lead to sharp tensions, which will lead to a point where they see no reason to reach a partisan base. Plus, mudslinging ruins a person, so the opponet usually benefits from it. Its all about winning the race and staying in the elected post.

In a perfect world where all citizens were concerned for the welfare of all in our society, there would be no negative politics, only the presentation of two or three different approaches to the same problem(s). Then we could vote in an honest manner and have all of our votes count and all would have equal access to the voting process. However, American history has been riddled with negativism from the time of the federaslist (Alien and Sedition) through Jackson (thumbing his nose at the Supreme Court) to Lincoln (personal attacks on him from McClellen) to Cleveland (who's your daddy) etc etc etc...it is pitiful to say it is the American way.

As long as the God fearing, abortion protesting, death penalty endorsing southern/middle state REDDIES keep out of New England there will be no fighting. We get along here. We have political discussion groups here, and they are quite civil. Yes we do have a lot of Republicans who participate, but not the white trash trailer park living, confederate flag waving POS Bush lovers who are infamous in those **** states; these Republicans are ashamed of the President, but are directly affected by the way Republicans run things: they are well rounded educated people who make lots of money, not shitbags who like catching things on fires and watching war on TV, screaming, "KILL EM TERRORIST BASTARDS!"

Well, I don't know if it's supposed to be polite, but the antics lately make no sense. Vigorous debate is one thing, but all this name calling and finger pointing has got to stop. These supposedly are well educated, sophisticated people. I really wonder what they are thinking or are trying to prove, because it's not working for me. I would hope so.

In your dreams. It would be nice but they would have to change the name from politics.
How much money do you think they could spend to do that ?

If you like appeasement and want to lose your identity. You've got to stand for what you believe in. Insults aren't necessary...Facts are.
