One basic difference in the way we approach life concerns our attitude.
The people we associate with through life can either cause heartache, disappointment, and unhappiness. On the other hand, some people can go through life with a minimum of problems.
The big difference is in our attitudes and the courtesy we extend to others.
It's the wise man who said, " Courtesy costs nothing and buys everthing " And another wise man said, " Life is not so short but that there is always time enough for courtesy ".
The way I see it is, if we use good manners and offer common courtesies to our fellowman, our well-being would be that much more effective.
Also, the reason why some people are rude and such, could be that they are harbor some kind of hostilities or some may be in poor physical health while others just may have developed negative reactions to a situation or to someone who did them a wrong.
But if we keep an eye on plain common courtesy we will without a doubt be more appreciated and accepted by others and of course we will be all the more happier for it.

I talk to them with a smile and ooze syrupy sweetness as I ask them a very sarcastic question about their behavior. Example: "Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed today, Mr. Crabbypants?" I am so sweet that it takes them a few seconds to realize that I just put them in their place. Asking them a question is always better than just making a rude comment. I like to ask rude sales people: "Am I bothering you by being in your store? If so, I would be happy to take my business elsewhere." It always stops them in their tracks.

I know how this goes. I used to have customers, ex-friends that were rude to me. I became more rude back and began hurting myself more than them. Be confident and don't let the rude take advantage. Only get angry when absolutely neccessary. Took me a while to learn this!

Well you know everybody goes trough this sometimes.... with me im kind of in between if i run in to somebody that got up in the wrong side of the bed... and that day i just happend to be in a good mood and dont want to spoiled i just ignored them like they werent even there... but sometimes i my self get up in the wrong side of the bed... and those days im just as honest as i can be...and i just look at whoever in the eye and tell them you know what?.... "today is not a good day so kindly **** off and be gone out my sight"and then i walk away and continue to ignore them the same thing but with the difference that this time im letting them know im not about to take their funky attitude..... but that is just the way i feel.... my realistic advice would be to ignore... as much as you can.

Try to imagine yourself and your reaction if you were in the opposite, imagine the other person also asking this question, every one will find no solution except that you try to be calm and good with all people even rude, spreading good relations with every one will make every one enjoy being in contact with you and your life will be full of cheers and friends

I used to work for a guy who always said "Well, you might be right". I worked with him for months before I realizes that what he said was not what he meant. What he meant was "you are wrong, and an idiot and I am not going to waste anymore of my time arguing with you." Try that...

Repeat what they say back to them in a straight forward voice. For eg. 'So you think that I'm not pretty. 'I can accept that you think that way, but it's not my point of view.' End of conversation. Walk away.
