It's safe depending on how you use the site, if you're smart, don't put up revealing personal information, and you pick appropriate friends. I use myspace all the time to connect with old friends from when I was growing up and I have had no problem. It all depends on how you use it. If you use myspace for booty calls then its very dangerous.

It's only dangerous if you are computer illiterate. If you don't know how to be safe on the net, then myspace isn't something you should use. I'm not underage anymore, however I have 2 small children. My profile is private unless you are on my list. I also don't give out information that is too personal. The only people I have on my list are family and friends from school.

MySpace is only for people with common sense. Of course, you are going to be in danger if you let everyone know your address!!! I can't stand those teenagers who does that and end up being on TV. You know better not to go me a STRANGER and not tell anyone about it. You are asking to be on televison for being STUPID. It's all up to you, is Myspace safe? Do you have common sense?

I dont think its dangerous; you need to have parental settings on your computer for younger children. If you sit down with your child and teach them right from wrong (ex. meeting with stangers) they should be fine. I'm sick of everyone talking **** about myspace. I think the children and their parents are to blame for these young girls coming up "missing" "dead" or raped. You'll know if your child is mature enough for "myspace"

well, my mom made me cancel my account, which i feel much safer now. He can be very dangerous. I was watching on oprah , and she had someone track downa girl in the state of texas or somewhere, and then said if you are 14, and found someone in 2 minutes, and had her school name and everything. Then this person started talking to her, and she answered and didn't even know this person. You need to have it al least set to privcat, although the people will find a way in, it is a lot harder. and on;y except people you REALLY KNOW!

Everyone on Myspace has been cyber-raped by Tom at least once. That's why I removed him as a friend.
