Because Bush is a big fan of capitalism, big business and shortsighted greed. He doesn't care about short sheeting the environment, and he doesn't seem to care about bankrupting the Next Generation. He's one of the biggest liars in history and he's being controlled by even greater forces like the vice president and the people around him. We might as well call the country haliburton.

The alternative helped a great deal. For all of Bush's real or imaginary faults, Kerry and Gore before him were each half the man that George W. Bush was.
I'm pretty ticked with him, personally, but given those two guys to chose from, I'd vote for Bush without a second's hesitation. I'd vote for anyone of his cabinet secretaries if they were running against him, present or past. But compared to Gore and Kerry it isn't a problem to the GOP. A solid man, with good business accumen, unfortunately, his "compassionate conservatism" lets him stand across the line. Strange, as comparatively liberal as he is to traditional GOP stands, you would think the Democrats would be cheering that their ideas were being implemented in a wholesale way. I would think his detractors would be applauding his moving left of center on social spending and acceptance of the new major minority he has helped balloon--Latin American illegal aliens. You guys sure give him a lot of guff for giving us what you folks really wanted.

That is indeed the $64,000 question. They were supporting him lock-step when his approval rating was over 50%, but congressional republicans are falling away fast. His power base was the evangelicals, but they have begun to get wise to his lip service. Harriet Miers really upset them, and Alito didn't supplement it very well either. The bottom line is, with his base, he is all but ruined, which allows for the congressional republicans to steer clear, with the exception of fundraisers. So the easy answer is with a 34% approval rating and a error of 5%, they are not.

This is the truth. Bush is a Mason. All the founding fathers that were NOT assassinated were Masons. Those that weren't were killed by Masons. They are a very powerful "cult" (if u will) that has been running the world for ages. It is not just in the movies.

It is the same thing that keeps the Democrats crying for Hillary Clinton to be president in 2008. They believe in their party.

People like him. I think he comes across like the average Joe Blow. sometimes it is difficult to admit that they are wrong. Public opinion is definitely changing. Have a great day.
