Definitely...Germany lost total control of the midfield..

it would not have made a difference. One man does not make a team. it takes a full team performance to win in competitions like this and italy was just the better side on the day! italy seemed hungrier, they wanted the ball more it seemed to me like italy had more passion on the day

no, you could tell italy was in control the whole game, it just took 2 hrs to score. one man would not have changed their fate because after that much play a great player is just reduced to pair of tired legs that tries not to make mistakes
