hahaha... don't you love Republicans... I'm not sure if they just really do think that Iraq "has something to do with it"... or if they are just trying to cover their *ss for the war...

They have no evidence that Iraq was involved at all... pretty much every other country in the middle east has more links to al-quada than Iraq, a few have MANY MORE LINKS...

But apparently you should kill a terrorist organization by starting with the least influenced country in Republican's minds... hahaha... I guess they kill a snake by chopping off the end of it's tail too...

read the 9-11 reports... see how much it talks about Iraq... you'll start to wonder why we aren't in Saudi Arabia...

I'm a Republican, and I have never thought that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 attack. Our government has never claimed it was.

But the war on terror is about much more than going after those directly responsible for the 9/11 attack. It's about going after ALL terrorist organizations, everywhere they hide. It's well documented that Iraq was sheltering terrorists. Not the ones that planned 9/11, but terrorists nonetheless.

When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, we didn't just declare war on Japan, we declared war against all the Axis powers, including Germany and Italy.

Iraq itself may not have been 'behind' it, but some of the terrorists surely come from Iraq. And now Al Quaida is trying to lure them back there to fight for them...

Saddam was very paranoid and would never let an independent military organization in his country. In addition, he was a secular leader and the radical fundamentalists would have been a threat to his power.
