What cost $1 in 1970 would cost $5.04 in 2005.

Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 2005 and 1970,
they would cost you $1 and $0.20 respectively.

Dollar Coins were not made in 1970! The next year, 1971, began the minting of the Eisenhower Dollars until 1978. (That was the first year that Dollar coins were minted since 1935 when the Peace Dollar was last minted.) Then in 1979 Susan B. Anthony dollar coins were minted which only lasted for a few years.
