Or does gravity stop odors?

Well first, there is less of an effect of gravity in space so if gravity did stop odors (which it doesn't really) that wouldn't hamper a space fart.

But yes, technically, even if they were in the vacuum of space, if some of the particles (gas molecules or small pieces of feces, which is what makes the smell upon invading your nose) could make it to their nose, they would smell it. The problem is that in a vacuum this isn't very likely, the molecules would scatter out and probably not be carried to anyone's nose in great concentration.

In a ship or one's own spacesuit especially the fart would smell, reaching noses due to the movement of air and confinement of the gases.

If it was in otter space yes. If it was in outer space yes but if the astronaut was wearing a suit no and if he wasn't he would be dead.

Well, that depends: Is the astronaut in a suit? Then yes. Is he exposed to vacuum? If yes, that's like asking "If a tree falls in a forest and there is no one to hear it, does it make a sound?" I doubt anyone is going to take a big sniff of vacuum to make sure. However, if you were to fart in to a vacuum bottle and open it somewhere with atmosphere, the answer would be unequivocally yes.

I would say it's worse...you can't exactly open the windows! Imagine what it's like when someone lets loose in an elevator. Hopefully astronaut ettiquette precludes large meals of beans, eggs and broccoli right before a flight.

I'll assume you mean in outer space.

The answer to your question is yes. Gravity has little effect on gases and no effect on chemical properties of gases, such as smell.
