Try "Small Business Administration" office in your area. They help start up business to get started and take off.

I would be leary of anyone who responds to any kind of posting like yours. There are a lot of nuts and crooks out there looking to take advantage of people. You can try the SBA but they aren't a grant organization. You still have to go through a bank to get a SBA guaranteed loan.

If you want a government grant start off at www.firstgov.gov which has pretty much all of the government programs out there. Check out your local library as well. They will probably have at least one of Matthew Lesko's book (the late nite infomercial dude) He pretty much rehashes what is on firstgov.gov but it can be useful. He includes private foundations as well. Makes for interesting reading and you don't have to pay for it.
