Many people have a hard time believing things that can't be give as Hardcore evidence.
Maybe it's because of the fact that people are too down to earth in a manner of speaking.
Maybe it's because the human race (not in all cases, but most) are narrow, or closed minded.
At any rate, I think it's important to remeber that almost anything is possible.

I think we like to think are technology is more advanced than it truly is, when in all reality we still have a long way to go. After all, look at some basic facts, like the fact that we had known about giant squids and only caught our first photograph of one in its natural habitat just last October. Not to mention, we can barely explore our oceans as it is. If we were so awesome in our technology, surely we'd know so much more by now.

Some things just can't be tested for their veracity, so they remain a mystery...without any scientific proof, some people just refuse to believe in certain things......also, people are afraid of the unknown

because it is not explainable and some people feel they need everything to make sense and be logically or else they just ignore the stories. and there may be so many stories because there are so many different people who have the possibility of experiencing something odd. it is these people that pass around the stories, and other people who refuse to believe them.
