It will take time. Sooner or later you going to meet this great man. After he sweeps you off you feet. Your feelings will change. I had the same problem just in another way. It takes time to heal. What you feel is normal. It brings up these feelings that overwhelms you. Like I said just give it some time. Good luck. I feel for you I know how you feel.

I was divorced for 15 years and said I would never remarry for the same reasons as you, then one day a man came into my life and almost instantly I fell in love, when you meet the right person you will know it and all of the past just fades away. be patient. good things happen to those who wait.

By NEVER forgetting this pain and using it as your inspiration. Pain means you are alive and if you can find a way to acknowledge it without honoring it (imagine it as splinter rather than a cross), you can use it to your advantage. I like to always remember the joke "How do you make God laugh ... Tell him your plans" ... I've been as hurt as anyone but I refuse to believe that love is not out there and a fine destination on this train trip we call life.

I'm sorry you feel like this. I think that deep in your heart you know that love is always something to be trusted. Maybe love doesn't always end wonderfully, but that doesn't make the love that was felt less important or true or real. Be positive. Love is the realest thing in the world. Its like fire. It can be your life-saver while leaving you scared from Burns.

Well just forget about your ex husband and move on. It just mean that your not meant for each other. Try meeting someone. You must have a partner in life in the future for you to be happy.

believe me it never goes away until you accept that the divorce is final and that your ex has forgotten what you look like naked so its best to move on and figure out the answer from life not yahoo answers!
