The United States

United States. North Korea is starving and bargaining for food. North Korea is a country lacking motivation for its people just like all socialist type systems. Just like Russia, when the race with United States was over, their system fell to pieces. Why should we fall into an expensive arms race with systems that don't work like North Korea. Let them continue with whatever they are doing, they will hang themselves. If they really shot at somebody, then we could bomb the whole city without respect to the people. It would be over in a matter of minutes and the world would be behind you. Lets not get sucked into another Vietnam, Korean, Iraq conflict. Go check your history books and see. God Bless

The US would undoubtably win any sort of military conflict with North Korea. But, Japan and South Korea probably wouldn't come out too pretty. I wouldn't put it past Sr. Loco (Kim Jong Il) to put a couple of nukes on short range missles and try to kill as many Japanese and South Koreans as he could if things turned sour.

We definately won't start anything in NK, but we will protect our allies. South Korea, Japan, Taiwan...and...Singapore (?) have all been good allies for a long time, and we owe it to them.

War between US and North Korea: America wins. Japan, and both Koreas probably lose. Bummer.

L O L...

PRK= 50 Year old soviet tech
USA = Some of, if not the Most Advanced War Tech

USA= 518.1 billion yearly mil spending.
PRK= 5 billion yearly mil spending

If funds translate directly to capabilities, then PRK could have 100x the size military as us and still loose.

If we went to war with PRK, its on their land. And believe me, PRK citizens will not pick up arms against us. The only people there fed are members of the military, the rest are essentally slaves cut off from the outside world. If anything, a few food drops, and 80% of PRK population is now our allies providing 100% of ground forces needed.

Place your bets.

The United States and the rest of the world will unite against N. Korea. N. Korea will not have any allies in this matter. Any country not taking sides will of course be neutral.

Come on. Can you really see North Korea sailing over the pacific and invading the US, then winning?

Who will prevail? The US for sure, and the north koreans will live if we don't feel like beating them.

Pt is misinformed. The NK missles can reach all the way to Israel and the Soviet Union.

The US is committed to defend Japan and South Korea, if they are attacked, even to the point of using nuclear weapons. So, attacking Japan or SK is equivalent to attacking the US.

In a war between NK, the US, and South Korea, NK might kill hundreds of thousands, if not more than a million South Koreans with massive artillery barrages and nuclear weapons. They might kill thousands of Japanese. If the US uses nuclear weapons against NK, one to several hundred thousand North Koreans will be killed. If we and South Korea invade North Korea, tens of thousands of North Koreans and thousands of allied troops will be killed.

The US would be the political winner of a war with NK. NK can't even feed its own people. It is impossible for them to fight the US and win politically. However, with so many North and South Koreans killed, there would be more than one loser.

if you can recall our last time around we rushed the troops in and they almost were decimated by the cold and when they fought the koreans to a standstill about 250,000 chinese crossed the border they had hidden along the Yalu river in winter to jump in the fight,, now the problem will be if the chinese launch missles in defence of that nutbar in North korea who will probably missle attack Japan as thats the closest american base,, and marines on okinawa would be the first to attack North korea as they were back in the 1950's,,, so his idea would be a pre-emptive nuke of okinawa,, and then the use of tunnels and roads built under the border ,,an olde dude

Well, technically neither since I don't believe war is a means to an end, but the U.S would likely win in this situation. We are a strong people, and no matter how much people complain, when it came right down to it, I think we would all fight for our right to be free.

USA of course.

China and Russia wouldn't do squat either. In fact they'd be letting out a sigh of relief that we decided to do something against the NK fruitcake witha happy trigger finger. They got their own agendas and sticking up for North Korea against the US wouldn't be worth it in the least bit.
