Ethyl alcholhol is not very corrosive if I recall. However ethyl achohol is overhyped. It contains fewer btu per gallon and therefore uses much more to propel a vehicle the same distance with the same load. Even assuming the price was equal per gallon the cost to drive a mile would likely almost double.
