I don't know...would God create a haemorrhoid no lotion could sooth? ...

First off: There's numerous answers to this, not only two!

Considering "God" in what form???

And the rocks location????

If it were out in space, yes, it could be very easily lifted, even by a human child.

Perfection has nothing to do with physical strength within the parameters of the subjected framework or visa versa. "Perfection" in that sense would mean that there are no flaws in its function, not that its unlimited strength.

If one believes that God created the universe and planets etc, I really dont think a large rock would be a big deal..... So yes it could be created.

Think things through more carefully.

This question is a self propogating paradox. Since God supposedly does not the limits of time, he doesn't necessarily "lift" anything. And since a "rock" is relatively small compared to the entire universe, I don't think it's feasable to even ask this question. I could ask, "If the universe is always expanding, then what's beyond that? Nothingness?" What is nothingness, and what defines the universe? Our little brains just can't comprehend being able to see everything at once from all moments in time, much less the power of God to create.

Your mind is trapped in a little box. Could He? Yes. Would He? No. He doesn't just do stuff. Everything has a purpose to Him. Neither deny his perfection.

If you think a little deeper, the size of the rock would be infinately larger than anything we can imagine.
Where has the meaning of lift now gone? Lift it from what? The space He created to contain it?

Actually, yes. This is the prime paradox to the omnipotence of God. I f he cannot create the rock, he is not all powerful. If he can, then he is still not all powerful because he cannot lift it. So yea, you're right.

I think the only people who would tell you that you're wasting time thinking about this would be very religious people. No one likes their faith questioned.

God is pure being, and pure fulfillment. The key question, if you really want to understand God, is not "Could God create ... ", but rather, "Would God create ... "

Why would God want to? Its nonsensical. God has a will, and preferences. Finding out what those are about is how to experience God, not repeating cute theoretical questions from a billboard.

How can we understand the mind of a being who is infinite?

Sorry for my answer being yet another question, but this question must be approached primarily as, how do you understand God?
