If your baby is drooling, she could have looser bowel movements, but *not* diarrhea. Diarrhea would be more frequent bowel movements with a foul odor.

Teething wouldn't cause vomiting, but shoving her hand into her mouth certainly could!!

Can Teething Cause Diarrhea

Yes it can and the best suggestions I have are to: give some Tylenol for the pain of teething, try some teething gel, and temporarily switch to lactose free formula (if you are feeding formula). Tylenol and lactose free as it is easier on the stomach. Motrin may upset the stomach more. And as in a previous post, make sure she is peeing. If she is peeing then she is still getting enough fluids. I am not sure how old she is, but if she is eating jarred food, do the BRATs Diet. Bananas, Rice, Apples and/or Toast(for older kids). All these are easy on the stomach are the things you feed children when they either have diarrhea or vomiting.
Good Luck.

Yes to diarrhea and vomiting, in addition to a rash on the cheeks and occasional fevers.

Cold teethers are great; get a few to keep in the freezer. As for the drooling, you can never have too many rubber or plastic backed bibs. They will help with keeping her clothes dry. Teething biscuits are great, but tasteless and messy but a necessary evil. Baby Anbisol is good if she seems to be in pain as well as Infant Motrin or Infant Advil.

Have fun! You'll love the big toothy smiles that are in your future!

Im not no doctor, but when my kids were teething they did have diarrhea, little fever, drooling alot, but dont think they ever vomited from teething, but if your concerned about it I would talk to your ped. diarrhea and vomiting is nothing to be left alone about especially in infants, it don't take long for them to get dehydrated. well good luck with the teething and hope that is all it is.

Never heard of it causing diarrhea or vomiting but teething can definitely cause an elevated temperature. Nothing too dramatic and if your baby is having all the symptoms you mentioned I would definitely suggest calling the doctor and getting his/her opinion.

yes, it can. you may want to get some baby orajel on hand for when the teeth break through and she will be really fussy. and have a few teething rings so that you can rotate them out so she always has a cold one. and have some vaseline on hand because most likely the diarhea will give her diaper rash, surprisingly vaseline works very well for diaper rash. she also may get a fever which is normal as long as it isnt too high. if she is over 6 months you can give her some bananas, either fresh or baby food, that is a natural cure for diarhea. and rice cereal, anything starchy will help with diarhea.

I would be concerned about severe diarrhea and vomiting. It can cause stomach aches, and definitely drooling, but it should not be manifesting as severe physical problems.

Try a teething ring or teething biscuits. If it keeps up, call your ped.
