in my transporter, with plenty of ham cheese sandwiches, a big thermos of coffee and maybe a nice bottle of Chilean red, when would I reach the end of the universe? How would I know I was there? Would this be the leading edge of the 'big bang'?

Sorry, there is a speed limit in this universe of C (the speed of light) and it's intimately tied to questions of space and time. Because the expansion of the universe is essentially "creating" space for you to travel around in (like Wallace and Grommet laying down railroad tracks in that cool claymation movie), you wouldn't find any edges. You WOULD be bumping up against a lot of nifty relativistic effects as you neared the speed of light. You'd be approaching infinite mass and infinitesimal thinness (without dieting!). On the other hand, you wouldn't need as many ham & cheese sandwiches as you might have thought, because for you, "proper" time would progress much slower according to any stationary observers ("improper time") watching you zing along. You'd develop "tunnel vision"--only stuff out in front of you would be in view; only black to the sides, due to your awesome pace. Best of luck to you, and steer clear of those event horizons--black holes can ruin anybody's tour of the universe!

No, because you can't travel at speed higher than the speed of light. Even if you did, the current estimated size of universe is 10 billion light years. (13.7 actuall) It will still take 10 million years. You can't possible take that much ham and cheese sandwiches.
Oh, let's not forget, the universe is expanding while you are eating your sandwich for 10 million years.... so it'll take even longer.

where m is the rest mass , v is ur speed and c is speed of light.
Now u say ur speed is 1000 times the speed of light !!!!!!
(By the way, speed of light is as far as u can go)
Anyways lets suppose u got a divine jet that flys at 1000 times the speed of light (IMPOSSIBLE), even then ur mass would become imaginary. Check it urself from the equation.
U cant travel with an imaginary mass, can u?

You could reach a speed so fast that you would hit yourself in the back. aka, warp speed. That speed is the ultimate possible speed, you can't go quicker.
The universe has no end, no middle, no start,ect. If you travel in a straight line you'll just end up where you started.

Even if you can go at that speed you would never get to the end of the universe since it is infinate and according to Einsteins theory it would appear you're going forward but you would just go back to where you started.
