I totally agree! system of a down is a GREAT band and hypnotize and mezmerize include to many foreign instruments, there 3 older cd's were much better, not to say that mezmerize and hypnotize wern't good tho, but my favorite album is Steal this album! there songs are way fun to listen too (as long as my parents arn't around of course) but my favorite songs are shame and johnny that arn't found on any of there albums, they are way catch and really funny to listen to!

Yes; they are one of the few modern rock bands to whom I actually listen. They're highly original and creative, generally incorporating gorgeous melodies, unusual time signatures and Middle-Eastern influences into songs structured around thrash and alternative rock.
However, two things:
1. A large number of their lyrics are annoying and uneducated leftist rants, which come off as highly ignorant and simple-minded, not to mention contradictory to many of the band's practices (they've used songs as platforms to condemn "the evils of television," and yet they've appeared many times on shows on MTV).
2. Mezermize is my favorite SOAD album, and I would like you to provide evidence as to why that means that I am "not a real fan." I consider both Mezmerize and Hypnotize to be great musical progressions, where the band is moving into more listenable, diverse and melodic territory while remaining highly creative and unconventional.

dude,i start listen to SOAD since i was in standard 6 and im 18 now,from roulette to forest to f*ck the system to bubbles to hypnotize album i love them,.
i listen to all their song that in market

system of a down is a good band. for the guy who has been listening to system for 12 years now. how cool was it to see system before they even released their first album.

Yes, i like them very much. I Love their music...nobody else sounds the way that they do, they are unique...i love the way they rock, they way they rage, their tongue-in-cheek sense of humor...i love the way their music can evoke emotion in me.
My favorite song of theirs is "Ariels".
