because it usually means you're PREGNANT.....
and not everyone wants a baby....

if you dont have a period, that could mean they are pregnant : and some of them dont want to be, so when they dont have a period this is frightening them.
and other women want to be pregnant and this is good news to them.
so it all depends on the situation the women is in. on how she feels about missing a period.
like me: had tubes tied, so IF, i dont get my period , I will be very surprised and scared too. dont want anymore babies, I have 16yr and im 43yr. much more health risks, like down syndrome for the baby, so dont want a baby.

You must be a young male. A missed period can mean a women is pregnant. That may be no big deal for a male but it is life changing ( even shattering) to a woman.

missing a period may be a sign of health problems or a harbinger of as yet unseen events. pregnancy is one possibility, as are many other diseases or illnesses. it means something in a woman's body is out of balance from its normal state and she needs to be concerned with her health.

cuz it means they could be pregnant or have some other health problem. having regular periods means they are healthy

if they have not had sex it a while, it may be a problem that they need to go to the doctor or just they marked their calender wrong
