You are SO right! Especially when they have so many stations to show them on. They seem to think that we are all on the same schedule and interested in the same sports.
At least I did discover another new favorite sport at the Winter Olympics though. The Curling was great though they tended not to show the earlier throws in each round.

Unless the Olympics are in the US (or the same longitude), they occur in a different time zone. Italy is 6 hours ahead of eastern time. Korea is 14 hours ahead of eastern time. So, to show them live would be inconvenient for us in the US. Since it costs NBC a small fortune to air the Olympics, I'm guessing that they want the largest audience they can get in the US.

No you are right the Olympics have the same effect on the World as World Cup Soccer. The world stops and countries unite and it would be awesome to see that live. NBC does not want to cut their dang Soap Operas and local and National News though. BOO NBC
