I was thinking that all of these $Billions could actually do some good, and was enough to enable some truly innovative ideas to get some attention. New societies could be formed and nurturing cities could be built; new governing systems that improve on democracy could be implemented; creative solutions dealing with poverty and health care could be tried; and, people could be allowed to explore their full potential without the handicap that money imposes. Sky is the limit, so BE outside the box on this one.

Well, they are not flashy, but there are two uses I can think of. First, the money could be used to establish a "Manhattan Project" style research network for curing the world's most threatening diseases. Second, expanding and improving our infrastructure and rapid transit sytems so that there would be more and better opportunites for people to improve themselves would be a good way to spend the money.

I think Bill and Melinda Gates are doing a fantastic job .There are however a couple of places I see that really need more help. One is for divorced women with children who need help to get either more education or some training to help them get a new start. The other is for more homes with better care for abandoned and or neglected children. There are too many people falling through the cracks.

While the money Gates and Buffet have is certainly no chickenfeed , it is in the big scheme of things nickles and dimes. Foe example all of their money could buy one US aircraft carrier and equip it. However I'm not sure if there would be enough left over to operate it.

theorists have dreamed of a radical shift in national infrastructure for centuries, one which exists in such a way that is complementary to nature (as opposed to destructive to it) it is impossible to make such an epic social shift without a titanic sum of money and an even greater measure of support from the public at large. in just this instant, our wildest dreams have come true, but we are so blind that ultimately, we will fall only deeper into the hole we cannot seem to stop digging.

They estimate that the Gate Foundation's vaccination program has already saved 500,000 lives. You don't think that is a good use for the money?

I think they should do more for the homeless in this country. the Government and people give more to the immagrants and people in foreign countries than they allocate to provide for their own American Born Citizens.
