Probably as exciting as it is today.

Even with any technological improvements, the basis of the game is always a field, a ball and the movements of talented players on this field.
The basis (which is playing fundamental and exciting football) will never change.

Too bad most of us here will never see football in 2050---- but it won't be much more different at its basis than today.

Nice one there, i bet there'll be more rules of the game, maybe more players. its no different that abt a century ago, where there's no Penalty rules and so on, [Penalty was inroduced in 1891 & in 1899 there 11 players in a team confirmed] and now there's more rules to modern football than the ancient one right? it might be a different game in the year 2050, either way, the matches will be worth to watch! Great question there

Cheers!

I thought it already is? Oh - you meant football, not futbol. No - it will never be an Olympic sport, because it's played only in one country (canadian football is quite a bit different). Cliff diving would have a better chance at becoming an Olympic sport than American Football.

Each team will be allowed four 'death ray' shots.

If a player on the opposing team is faking an injury the coach can pull out his special death ray gun and kill the bastart for real !!!!!!!

But this can only happen four times as you have to have a minimum 7 players to continue the game.......
