Honestly, I don't think so, I've played it, and I've played other RPG's and they seem the same. But... I'm a christian so obviously you can expect what everybody else around me is going to say, yet they never researched it nor played it. Basicly I want the opinions of other Christians foremost but everybody else obviously is free to comment on their opinions.

Dungeons and Dragons is no more evil than Sorry, Monopoly, or Old Maid. D&D is just a game. I am a christian, and I've been playing D&D for more than twenty-five years. I have yet to sacrifice any animal, vegatable, or mineral to a pagan deity. In my experience people who are strongly agains D&D have never seen a game being played. Having said that, there are people who play D&D that are for want of a better word, "spooky". They tend to give respectable nerds like myself and other D&D players bad reps. The short of it is, that D&D isn't evil, but some people use the game to act out twisted desires that would place them in jail in the real world. I like being the hero.

I've played D&D since it first came out in the 80s, and in my opinion ...

A game is just a game, even Dugeons and Dragons. Sometimes people do evil things, but it is not the game's fault -- or the Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon cards -- or anything else's fault except that person's for making the choice to follow the Devil's lead.

I spent many an afternoon hacking goblins and stealing their gold, but I've never hacked a person or stole anyones money. I'd say it's not evil. Of course as we got older games were more challenging and the hacking beasts and hoarding gold part was downplayed and assuming an original character and problem solving became the object of the games.

I loved those games!

No, it's not evil. It's just a game. People who think D&D players are satan worshipers and such nonsense are grossly misinformed. I'm a Christian and I've been gaming for 10+ years. I find gaming to be a very creative outlet and a good way to socialize. (Alas, I prefer Call of Cthulhu. Go pods!!!)

It's just a game. It isn't like you are going to go out and sacrifice a chicken.
