I have. I have been wasting lots of my time on Yahoo Answers writing about Global Warming after seeing Al Gore's question.

I whole heatedly agree with you that everyone should see "An Inconvenient Truth". It is a great and entertaining movie.

I especially urge those who don't believe in Global Warming to see it. That way they will have some really good ammunition for bashing Al Gore. If you trash is movie and then have to admit you never saw it ... well that kind of weakens your argument don't you think :).

What have you got to loose? Go see it.

I'm sick about all this global warming nonsense, look at all the data and you will see that the oceans mean temperature has only risin by about one degree. What all these geniuses leave out is the the earth is slowing down, the moon is leaving the earths orbit at about seven inches a year, and because of this the earths axis has changed, the tilt of the earth is now about seven degrees more than it used to be, so this means that the poles are now closer to facing the sun which means that the ice caps are going to melt. don't belive me, get a gps locator and a compass, have a starting point, head north with the gps to another point. Then go back to the starting point, head north with the compass, I gurentee you will not end up in the same place. The extra tilt of the earth is what is changing the climate, granted the carbon monoxide that machines are creating along with the carbon dioxide humans are creating is having an effect allbeit a small one is not enough to be changing the climate alone.

To say the movie is full of lies and then admit that you haven't seen it is idiotic. These people have heard the talking points from Fox News and have swallowed their mind control pill in whole!!

The truth is that Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas and right now, we have a higher concentration of it in our atmosphere than at any other point during human existence. This will cause temps to rise.

People who say that the climate has only changed by 1 degree over the last 100 years should take note that we've only been burning fossil fuels for the last 100 years... What are we going to do for the next 100 years? The next 200? Should we just keep on and hope that our kids are smarter than us? Please keep in mind that 1 one degree rise in global temps is not just the difference between a 72º F day and a 73ºF day... A global temp is an average temp over the course of an entire year.. winter included. Right now, the global temp is like 4.5ºC... During the last ice age, when ice a mile thick covered the northern hemisphere, it was -7ºC.

The Earth itself is 4 BILLION years old. Look at the impact we've had over the last 100. It take 4 times as much energy to warm/cool water than it does air... Just the other day I read in a science journal that the excess CO2 in the atmosphere was raising the acidity level of the oceans.... but the truth is that once this pendulum gets to swinging, the momentum will be enough to carry it on. I don't know of any research to support this, but I predict that the acceleration in temps will only grow larger as we go foward from here.
