No
Really, it doesnt hold that many songs. Probably only around 150. And I really dont think you'd wanna go through around 150 songs or something just to find the one you want. You could get an iPod with a screen and more room to store more songs for not too much more money.
Trust me, I would much rather prefer and mp3 player that i can see that screen to choose the songs, with more room. Your choice though...

It depends on what your needs are, and what your expectations are.

If you mainly want a USB flash drive, but want the added usefulness of a music player, then it's an excellent choice. Especially in college. You can type up a paper at home, finish editing in between classes and print it out, and listen to music during your free time.

If you mainly want a music player with the added usefulness of a storage device then it's not such a great choice. The main reason being that it has no display and you're limited to one playlist.

I suggest you get your hands on a Shuffle and a normal iPod at your local electronics outlet, and look at the alternatives as well. Decide what you honestly NEED first, then decide what you WANT.

Not really. They only hold about 120 songs, and thats equal to about 6-8 cd's. If youre going to buy an ipod, at least get one of the two with the screens. The biggest one thats 300 dollars or so is frikin awesome. It plays videos and music. But really, there are mp3 players out there that are cheaper than shuffles and hold more songs.

No, there's no screen.

The Creative Zen Nano Plus is a much better deal. It's at an even lower price than the Shuffle, and it has a screen, FM radio, voice recording, and better battery life.

The Creative Zen V Plus is a good deal, too. It defeats the iPod Nano in terms of price, features, and performance.

If you refuse to get a Creative player, spring for the iRiver Clix.

Take a look at the new Creative Zen V or Zen V plus. Same price range. More features. Tiny tiny size. CNet says it is a better value than the comparable iPods.

that's thoroughly nicely worth paying for if u have 1st gen. and the digital camera doesnt suck it has 5 mega pixles and way speedier and extra acceptable and not in any respect that expensive for an ipod 4 g extremely i idea it would of been more advantageous than $230 that's an concepts-blowing ipod I have one my self if u save on saving replace in a bucket you could have a minimal of 30 dollers very rapidly it took me 2 weeks to achieve 30 dollers believe me you'll like it and in case you dont like it you could go back it u were given 30 days to go back it

NO...there are so many other music devices for so much cheaper that display the music you're listening to...the shuffle doesn't even have a screen.

I wouldn't, but that's just me. Even at 21, I'm not a techy person and don't care for the yuppie/preppy/cutting edge image an iPod projects, either. I prefer my LP's and turntable any day, thank you!

I don't think an iPod Nano is much more expensive you should try to get that.

i have one... and its frustrating having to go through 100+ songs to get to one...instead of just scrolling through it like a nano, or iPod
