a=1,this is the first value0+1=1
we use the previous value1 for each letter of b and c+1 ( i.e) 1+1+1=3
we use the previous value 3 for each letter of def +1 .(ie) 3+3+3+1=10
we use the previous value 10 for each letter of ghij+1 .(ie) 10+10+10+10+1=41
My answer is ghij41

If this is some kind of number series, ignoring the letters there is an actual known series for each answer. Just google for:

"1 3 10 23" sloane

and the other versions and pick one. There's not really enough information here to figure it out.

I would go for b. 41. Simplest recipe to explain these numbers is

1x0 + 1 = 1
2x1 + 1 = 3
3x3 + 1 = 10
4x10 + 1 = 41
5x41 + 1 = 206

Logical answer is 31, because 3x3 is 9, and +1 is 10! But as it is I say, e.none of the above. As you lack one more clue!

or by formulation, ghij(x multiplied by itself plus one) or I0I!... :oP
