I'm really getting into baseball lately-I just love going to watch our local team, and watching the pro teams on TV sometimes of course. My son is playing this summer too and loves it! We play it on XBox together too, hehe. My question is this: I don't know that much about technical stuff, different pitches, rules, etc...any recommendations? Is their a baseball for dummies book or something, lol??? Or am I best off just watching and learning as I go?

Get a book AND watch & learn AND keep playing on XBox. You can never know too much about baseball, sister!
Honestly, no one will know or care that you don't know much about baseball yet. Just cheer when they cheer and boo when they boo. Fake it till you learn. The important thing is that you have fun and make sure your son enjoys his games as much as you do! : )

I am the same way. The last 3 or so years ago, I became engulfed in baseball. I am watching the Astros game right now. Just watch alot of it and you will pick it up as you go. Also watch baseball tonight on ESPN. They always have informative shows. You can also try to get a baseball coaching book, you would find every rule and kind of pitch out there.

Best way to learn is by playing. Play the xbox game with your son and ask him questions. You should have the basics down after a few games.
