I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome back in 1990. I have managed to keep symptoms at bay by doing the following:
Eat a high protien diet
Get at least 8 hours of quality sleep every night
Take a high energy vitamin (I use Vitalert from Walmart)
Make yourself get some form of exercise every day (I walk) It releases endorphines in the brain, which cause you to experience feelings of well-being.
My Doctor also has me on a mild antidepressant medication which actually gives you energy. It's called Cymbalta.
I also try to avoid getting stressed out. Stress saps your energy and increases CFS symptoms.
Good luck.

Start with nutrition, good nutrition is at the top, also I know people say eeww, but a colon cleansing would also benefit from all that I read, stay away from sugars cause then the fatigue would be that much worse from the crash you get. Stress, If you have alot then find away to lower it, vitamins could help but not sure which, herbal remedies are so over looked, the syndrome, if diagnosed by a Dr. can be caused by poor nutrition, or brain disorder (not producing the right mix of chemicals to say hey I'm well rested, so research your condition then you have to do all the above to find the right mix, also fats, stay away from fats they also put you under.

What most people suffering from this are missing is magnesium. Try getting a multivitamin from your health store which has magnesium in it.
