When you question your existence, you must first determine what it is to exist. When question on how to determine his existence, René Descartes stated "I think, therefore I am." This simple yet powerful statement has been interpreted over the years in many various ways. Did René Descartes mean I think I exist therefore I do exist, or is it my ability to interpret information logically and rationally along with my ability to question which shows my existence? The purpose of an individual’s existence is based solely on the opinion of that individual. The reason behind existence as a whole is unknown to us. We exist because we do. We do not ask to be created, we do not ask to exist…but in the end we are granted this, it is the decisions we make during our short period of existence which will ultimately define us all. There is no true reason, only actions and results. The result is the definition of our actions.

Yes, being here on YA and with a cold one in my hand, I definetely feel the most at peace! And with music rocking my speakers, it's really great!
But seriously, I know what you mean. I like to take my time and think of things like this, and what I can do to make my life better, etc... Good question.

I live so that I can fulfill my fullest and truest potential.
I live so that I can love and be loved in return.
I live so that I may give to mankind what nature has generously bestowed upon me - a moment in time.
I live so that I can learn and grow as each day goes by.
I live for the moment because each moment ushers in new beginnings and whole range of possibilities.
I live to know more about me and to be happy as I am because there's no one else I rather be.
I live so that God, with all His wonders, guide me to an existence worth living.

To love the Lord God will all my heart, all my mind and all my soul. To serve him every day to the best of my ability and to share the gospel with everyone. Where I am is in the hands of God and that IS where I'm most at peace. Thanks for the thoughtful question.

The purpose of my existence is to give birth and sustain the human race. To teach my offspring to be good and responsible members of the human race and to treat others with dignity and respect. If only we could all accomplish this, what a greater place our world could be.

For me, it is to serve others, so that the world will be a better place. And I am at peace right here and right now, although I have an inoperable and unbiopsiable (?) brain tumor.

I think every body has a purpose for being alive and once that purpose is served then they die, and if their purpose isn't lived then they come back again in another life until they get it right...

To make your life miserable! Okay not really...I don't even know you. I think the purpose of my existence is to be beautiful- give you all something nice to look at whilst you try and fathom why you're "here".

There is no "purpose". The Creator wishes for us to merely 'experience' life as it comes. To experience, love, hate, happiness, sadness, fear, peace, whatever comes into your life.

the Father God _Who has always been_ wants FRIENDS...
He created angels, and that was good - but in His Divine Wisdom created man, in His image, with free-will.
Ours is a choice to make, when you hear the truth, whether you listen or not, you've made a choice...Come Lord Jesus!
