I've know my brothers best freind for several years he has never been married, and has had a couple of long term relationships. I have a 15 year old and a 8 year old. He is younger than me by 11 years, I'm 44. Can this mess up my relationship with my brother and family?

You may have known him for years, but I'm sure there's plenty you may not know about him. Don't worry about the age difference, but check with your brother about how good his friend may be for you.

This seems slightly unusual, why doesn't you want your brother to carry close ? that is continually best to be open, why do you may want to might want to conceal the actuality of who you're courting ? in case you at the on the spot are not prepared to be trustworthy i doesn't date him.

it depends on how well you know the friend if you know him well and know that he would be good with the kids and be ready to handle all that comes with dating a girl with older kids and knowing her family so well because there are alot of isues with divorced moms of teens and best friends sisters in each thing let alone all of them but if he can hang and you can help him deal with what he will have dished out then yes do it

You're divorced, your an adult. Date whomever you want. I don't see why your brother should care.
Just do yourself a favor and don't make this a rebound. If you like this guy, and he likes you, go for it. Just take your time, and don't let it interfere with your time with your kids. If he isn't taking you away from them they'll come around.

I KNOW THAT IT'S GOING TO BE HARD FOR YOU AFTER YOUR DIVORCE OF 3 MONTHS BUT HEY WE ALL NEED A LITTLE COMPANION SOMETIMES. A CLOSED MOUTH DON'T GET FEED. GO FOR WHAT YOU WANT EVEN IF IT IS YOUR BROTHERS BEST FRIEND. I BET YOU EX-HUSBAND HAS A NEW FRIEND IN HIS LIFE
