You need a analog to digital converter, available as a D/A converter, TV tuner to computer device, or a PCI adapter card. They will all do your job, but some will do more than you need, but you may want the extra features for later. Canopus is a good brand and Dazzle makes some that are more available in local stores.

The hardware called "Dazzle" is a wire converter with input and output for any type of video/audio source that can be plugged into it (the converter possibilities are endless if you can think them up)

They have many to chose from reanging from ~70 - ~200$ depending on what you want to have featured with it-
I'm sure they make it MAC compatible. It uses a USB port.
After that, you need an editing software that accepts video input from the hardware source.....
