History is an accurate map, detailing courses that have worked and some that haven't. However, some have apocolyptic theories that are not supported by the past. Why believe them?

Every generation thinks that they are unique, and that history does not apply to them. So when a Katrina hits, that's interpreted as a sign of the end of the world, though Katrina doesn't even make the top 1000 in disasters.

Apocolyptic theories are just like palm readings. Say them enough times, for long enough, and sooner or later they'll be right. History is populated with people who thought they lived in the end times. Every turn of the cenury, every major (and well publicized) disaster or assassination, or every odd planetary alignment gets some percentage of the population going again. Usually, those are the people who are just not aware of how naturally recurring these things are.

Know two things: 1. Nature cares very little about the existence of mankind when it comes to cataclysmic events, and 2. Some percentage of Mankind will always take nature personally, and assume it had some unique meaning for them (Note: They should see item 1).

Very simple, history itself says that history do not prevail otherwise we would not have so many history book instead there would have been one two pager with a remark in end that the same thing repeated 20000 times :)

So that is the biggest proof that new things happen and then those things became history for something new to come.

of direction not. As a instructor of yankee background i communicate with regard to the contributions of Asian-individuals, Black-individuals, interior of sight-individuals, Hispanic-individuals for all time. i don't do to any extent further or much less for the time of February than I do on the different time. in fact being a white instructor, black background month is a no-win concern. a million. If i don't make an excellent deal approximately it being black background month, the black scholars call for to appreciate why not. 2. If I then DO communicate lots approximately black background an identical scholars ask "What do you recognize approximately black background, you're actually not black." of direction the perception is while you're BORN black then someway you're magically endowed with an innate know-how of black background. have confidence me that may not actual. Blacks understand not greater approximately their background they are black than whites understand approximately their background because of the fact they are white. yet Black background month is definiately discriminitory and serves a particular activity for blacks. that's ironic that for a team of those that have claimed for 2 hundred years that each and all and sundry they choose is equality, in fact EQUALITY is the final factor blacks choose.

actually believing in apocalyptic theories might be a good thing. as long as people are afraid the end is near then people will get their lives together. however, when our leaders believe this, then we are in trouble, because they can actually make the end happen.
