yes...the more you add to it, the more valuable it is therefore the more coverage you would want. It's also to protect any damage or theft that would come to these certain things

If you modify your car for performance and the insurance company finds out about it, then yes, it will increase your coverage costs.

Any sports car--even regular cars that have been modified into sports cars--cost more to insure because insurance agencies are fully aware that their owners aren't going to obey the speed limit if they can help it...and performance cars are worth more than their stock versions. Poorly driven sports cars and people driving stupidly are the main two causes of accidents--and insurance claims.

If you submit the info to your insurance agent and wish for the mods to be covered, yes. Anytime the insurance company will have to pay out more if something happens to your car, your rates will go up.
If you don't care about the cost of the mods being covered if your car is stolen or whatever, then just don't tell your ins co and it won't matter.

It depends on what modifications you are making, but for the most part, yes. It also depends if you are carrying full coverage or just liability. You pay more because your car will be worth more. And or again, depending on the modifications, your car will be considered less safe and therefor more likely to get into an accident than it was before the modifications were made.

it depends on the insurance company... and if you want the modifications covered incase of an accident or something then you should contact your insurance company and let them know about your mods.
