This is a serious question; it appears that a lot of you thought this World Cup was a big mess. What are your thoughts?

Get better referees. This is a major issue in the games. There are so many cases where the referee makes really bad calls.

Fifa should introduce video replay. Before calling a foul, the referee should see it again on video and from different angles. That would reduce the number of fouls, bad calls, yellow and red cards, unfairly invalidated goals, and offside goals counted as good ones. It would stop the game for a while, but a referee handing cards all the time stops it as well.
Soccer is older than TV, that's why there's no video replay. Probably Fifa wants to maintain this tradition, but we are in the 21st century, and if technology can help fair play, why not adopt it?

Allow the referees to see a slow-speed video of the plays, if he thinks there was a foul.
Also, I would say that they should host the world cup in places where the country will not partake in the event, eliminating home game advantage, and unfair refereeing.

If you need a medic and go off you should have to stay off for atleast 2 mins, if not 5 - yeah make it 5, that should stop a lot of the diving. It's BS and it ruins the game. Say what you want about American players but they don't go for any wimpy diving, they actually play. People who dive in American leaguse are usually sorry real quick and don't do it any more, if you get my drift.

Get rid of the shootout to decide ties. No other sport allows something that is not part of the game to decide important matches.. Have Golden goal after two overtimes. Perhaps get rid of the off sides rule in the third overtime

each and each and every area of the international has global and club torunaments. except the international Cup the Copa Confederaciones is yet another huge global torunament. there is also Copa de Oro for imperative & North united statesa. and the Caribbean, international locations Cup in imperative united statesa. and Africa also has one. there is also a club international Cup and Copa Libertadores for South united statesa. golf equipment and Champions League for eu golf equipment. There are football tournaments occurring in line with annum everywhere in the globe.

well get referees who can keep up with the game and are not stupid, dishonest or corrupt
get rid of penalty shoot outs and allow more contact and less foul free kicks - punish much harder for dives and get a third umpire video decision making process

less red cards, double the size of the goals, shorten the field, and in general just making scoring increase and then i wouldn't mind sitting thru a match.....
