Didn't you see the previous matches? De Rossi was sent off for his elbow in McBride's face (good call, he deserved the red card) and Materazzi was sent off too, but for a foul that should actually have deserved a yellow card.
Rooney stomped on another player's crotch and pushed another one, so he deserved to be sent off. Hadn't he been English, but Italian or any other nationality, any other referee (even a non-Argentinian one) would have sent him off.

Of course an Italian player would have been sent off, if he did what Wayne Roonie perpertrated.
A foul is a foul, no matter what nationality or team you are playing for------

I believe walking on the genitals of an opponent under the referee's eyes would have sent out of the game any player and if not the referee would have changed activities just after the end of the match!

The reason is no, as to other nations is conceeded the benefit of the doubt, but due to the arrogant approach of ronaldo, and the idiocy of the referee (btw the italians had paid to come so far, england no) gave him the red card

i will "thank" about it. Italy has gotten its share of yellow and red cards. I'm guessing kicking a guy in the balls when he's on the ground would qualify for a red.
