Not only is it acceptable it's almost a neccesity. How else can we close the ever widening gap between the rich and poor. You my man are the modern day Robin Hood. An Anarchist for the people.
We all sneek food into the theater, because they charge too much, but only the brave take it to the next step.

It could be pretty embarrassing if people noticed you stuffing your pockets. If you really need the food, offer to stay afterwards to help clear up. Maybe they will give you some of the food to take home.
Or ask the host if you could fix a plate of food to take to your elderly neighbor, saying it would be a treat for her. Then you get credit for being a nice guy and you don't have to sneak the food out.

That is a huge faux pas. its totally mooching on a friends generosity. Wait till the end of the party when everyones leaving. Then offer to help clean up and if there are alot of leftovers, you can offer to take some with you to keep them from being wasted.

surely, Jay. Are you telling me you pass to events purely for the food particularly than for the fellowship and relaxing with your friends? constantly consume till now you pass to a party. then you certainly do no longer pig out if the food is robust or starve whether that's no longer. lol

Maybe the better question is, would you find it acceptable to eat food that has been mooshed in your pockets all evening?
