Don't take the advice from Kareem and Clint I would strongly suggest taking some classes and definitely have all the necessary gear because you ARE going to crash. There is no way around it anytime you are learning to stunt on your bike you will crash. Depending on what size bike you have riding a wheelie varies from simple throttle control to using the clutch.

Go use your wheelie lesson money to buy a good helmet, then learn to ride defensibly. you'll be around longer!! That kind of trick riding only comes from years of experience, usually in the dirt and on smaller bikes too.

on most sportbikes you can just gas it and it will come up, but be ready to hit the back brake so you can come back down before you go completely backwards. you really should try this on a dirtbike first since they arent as heavy or expensive. and wear a helmet. dont listen to the idiots telling you to drop the clutch when your are at a full rev.

Hold clutch, place bike in first gear, rev engine until it reaches red-line then quickly release the clutch........and remember to continue to hold at wide open throttle.
