Actually much better than you think. They can absolutely drive the other crazy. Assertive personalities are driven to situations that allow them to express themselves. People with easy going personalities tend to rob them of that leaving them feeling cheated. Its sort of like the masacist yelling whip me, beat me while the other simply and calmly looks them in the face and says, No.

They understand that some things are within their control and some things are not. Other people's personalities are not within their control so it is not something to worry about personally.
On the other hand, some easy going people also like to goof around some times and will knowingly enter into pointless arguments just to jerk the "in your face" folks around for sport.
Basically, they just let it slide.

The cold hard truth. If someone is in your face, it is about something, and the best way to deal with those people is not to lie. They smell a lie a mile away, and if they catch you, you will really be in for it. Just deal with the situation truthfully and honestly, then sit back and grab some kool-aid when they leave.

Take a boundaries class. I hope that you also believe that you are right. And I hope that you can acknowledge that sometimes you are right and sometimes you are not as are others no matter how strongly they believe what they say. It's ok not to agree but it's not ok not to love.

heh... that's funny. I know exactly what to do on that one.

I just say "uh huh" and "ok" and nod my head and smile. They think they're right, so you're not gonna convince them otherwise. Better just to grin and bear it. You know that they're wrong, so that's what counts.

say "uh huh...yeah...I agree!....that's right..."
then just make fun of them when they aren't around.
Ok, maybe that's not the best thing to do, but it's what I do. Just ignore 'em. It's hard to argue with delusional people. :(

Calm and assured confidence. Don't get rattled, don't get emotional. Just smile and be in control.
