i just saw the movie at like 3 ish and i thought it was kind of boring.....the plot was kind of confusing too, the movie itself was like very fake with all those like fake creature thingys.I actually listened to my ipod through part of the movie because i was sooo bored...it was like an hour and a half of nothing....I liked the first one soooo much better.

I was nooottt impressed. First of all, how can you take a 10 minute ride and turn it into a 3 hour tour. Could it be any longer. And it started in an awkward place and ended in a predictable one. And bringing back old character is like saying, we don't have enough creativity or time to put into making up new enjoyable characters or even enough time to make the old characters aka sparrow and the two funny pirates interesting. I'd rather Jack just die. I can't believe they are going to bring him back in a third. And I know they are supposed to be unbelievable but man, could you make this more unbelievable. People don't understand the plot because there isn't one. I don't want Elizabeth and Jack to get together. I mean, come on, she loves this other guy. She's devoted. Why would she turn like that. She's got all these morals. This is supposed to be fun, not a breakdown of relationship morals. That's a whole nother movie and it's all about relationships and crying and stuff. The fighting wasn't that great either. Ok, I'll get off my complaintive horse but I just got back from there and I just was sooooo unimpressed and bored.

I agree with your impression of the movie. Bill Nighy played Davy Jones. Here's what one reviewer, Rebecca Murray, wrote:
Because it’s so jam-packed full of boring side plots, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest seems to go on for an eternity. Enough already! More Jack, less silly filler material. Chop out everything but the search for a key and the location of a dead man’s chest, and Disney would have had a 90 minute summer blockbuster for the ages. As it is, Pirates will make a ton of money but won’t leave a lasting impression.

Bill Nighy played Davy Jones.
I liked this film, though not nearly as much as the first one. Much less funny, and they seemed to go for action over character development. And did we really need three giant squid attacks? The first one should not have been in there, and the other two were much too long. I don't think there was enough focus on Jack. The ending was too ambiguous. They didn't have enough story to justify the length. There were a LOT of problems. Perhaps it will be partially redeemed by World's End (PotC3).
There were some funny parts, though, and the CGI was absolutely amazing.

I liked it although I totally wasn't expecting the plot line. I loved that Barbossa is back! I hated the part where Jack and Elizabeth were kissing and then Will saw them. Eww! I mean, when's the last time he brushed his teeth, anyway?!?
I did notice that Jack does seem to be portreyed in a bad light. He was quite dispicable, in fact.
Davy Jones was played by Bill Nighy
Oh, did anyone else think that Ragetti (in the first film) was absolutely crazy when he said that Will was the spittin' image of Bootstrap Bill Turner? I mean, Bootstrap is totally ugly and looks NOTHING like Will!

no, I liked it. It was a lot different than the first one. I didn't really like how Jack was the bad guy either. And I thought the ending was good, it's just that I thought Barbossa died in the first one but maybe that'll be explained in the 3rd one. And you have to admit, the fight scene between Norrington, Will, and Jack was really good. I also thought it was more funny (funnier?) than the first one. And the person who plays Davy Jones is Bill Nighy

I thought it was good! I liked how they kept the music from the first one because that always seems to be one of my favorite parts of movies...the instrumentals. There was that scene when they were swinging in the "bone cage" thingies between the cliffs and circus music was playing--I thought that was funny, but I also thought it was weird to put music like that in this adventure/ intense-at-the-moment film! There were plenty of parts to make me smile and I love Jack Sparrow/ Johnny Depp, ha-ha. He makes a great drunk pirate. Aw, it IS a shame they made him out as sort of the bad guy, Norrington and Beckett--ugh ï. The only parts I had "problems" with were trying to understand the character of Tia Dalma (I was like, huh?) and I didn't really get the dice game Will and his dad played with Davy Jones—don’t call me stupid! (Oh, by the way, actor Bill Nighy from movies like “Love Actually” played Davy there). Yeah, I didn't like how Elizabeth did that to Jack, though seeing Jack jumping in with his sword, I didn't think he was dead or chewed up for a second, which of course he is not. Also, the grossest part of the movie I thought was that nasty bubble skin thing on the back of Davy Jones' neck! Everytime it wobbled when we watched him walk from behind, I was completely grossed out. Seeing Will’s dad was also a turnoff…or whatnot. The worst part for me, as weird as it is, was seeing a completely nice, tanned, muscled back go from ‘before’ to ‘after’ whip lashing. And I'm not just saying this because I have a thing for Orlando Bloom--I'm not one of those crushing girls at all--but I would have cringed for anyone whose back the one in the movie belonged. Wow, okay, I am so sorry for rambling on so much, I will just go now and tell you (I know, I know- like you care :) that I'm excited for "At World's End" to come out. (I totally called Barbossa when they first went to Tia's house and the monkey was at his boots, by the way~~)
Okay, well have a very nice day!

Obviously you didn't like it 'cuz basically all you're doing is complaining.
But, I loved it.
Great humor and adventure and it was great.
The ending was awesome! Barbossa's Back, now we just see what happens next!
The only thing i didn't like was yeah, there was a lil too much squid.
I thought Jack actaully seemed like a good guy in this movie, somewhat.

I enjoyed it. The ending was a bit much of a set up for the next installment, and I can already see Keith Richards doing his best Johnny Depp impersonation of Keith Richards. I think the 3rd one will be tough to watch.
