Absolutely yes.

N.Korea withdrew from the NPT after talks failed. N.Korea watched as Bush invaded Iraq and stated they were on the axis of evil. Based on that, and the fact that Bush had shown he is willing to use force, they began to vamp up their nuclear program even more.

I've been saying ever since we invaded Iraq that this was the beginning of another Cold War. Now, we are seeing it begin.

You can't go around beating ppl up and talking about how bad certain ppl are without those ppl wanting to be able to defend themselves. Get it?

Also, N.Korea had established nuclear weapons before the Bush admin. but because they were honoring their membership of the NPT, they were not considered a threat. Just keep note that not until Bush, did they resign from the NPT.

B.Bum is correct and Luchador is off base. There were problems with N.Korea in the late 90s but diplomacy was working. When the Bush admin got into office basically diplomacy went straight to the dogs.

In a nutshell, there are times to be a tough and bold but there are times you need to be VERY diplomatic with the country your are dealing with. As we have seen, the Bush admin. has no clue what the word diplomacy even means.

No way. People don't just suddenly develop nuclear weapons. This problem started a long time ago, and Madeline Albright ignored it and refused to solve it. She passed it along and now acts like North Korea had no nuclear ambitions until Bush became president. Her behavior is shameful.

Of course! Don't you realize that Bush is to blame for everything! He's even responsible for the lack of condoms in Uganda and the traffic accident that tied up traffic on the Interstate this morning.

No, he isn't. Let's see...who gave North Korea nuclear power? Well, it was 1994...who was President then? Oh yeah, that's right - it was Bill Clinton. But surely they weren't going to make nukes with that power, 'cause they promised...

Clinton made an agreement and when they were caught cheating the booted out the inspectors.

They didn't develop those bombs overnight or in five years so more that likely he was cheating.
